Our Professional Team

Business Financing Network's (BFN) professional team has a combined 50 years of experience in business structuring, financing and project development. Our experience, familiarity with all kinds of business financing, and network of capital resources around the country ensure that our clients obtain the funding they need.

Alan Kenyon heads BFN's Kansas City office. He has worked with scores of development projects for over 25 years as the CEO of business development organizations in the Midwest—with special interest in Missouri and Kansas.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kenyon has assembled project funding packages for projects such as small business programs, constructing office and manufacturing buildings, setting up zero interest loan programs, constructing industrial buildings, manufacturing recruitment and developing Missouri's most comprehensive telecenter.

The Missouri Industrial Development Commission has recognized Mr. Kenyon with its “Professional Economic Developer” of the year award. In 1999-2001, he was one of twelve national economic developers selected for a Federal Fellowship program as a Regional Economic Developer.

In addition to his other professional experiences, Mr. Kenyon is an active entrepreneur. He has owned a number of businesses and is the author of two entrepreneurial software programs.

Mr. Kenyon has a B.A. degree from Fort Hays State University, a Master's Degree from Georgetown University, and a Master's of Public Administration from the University of Kansas.

Robert L. Gross
BFN's principle affiliate company is Marketplace Resources, LLC, (MR) of Pennsylvania. The company has completed hundreds of financial packages over three decades, in virtually every part of the country. Projects for which MR has obtained funding include virtually every type of need and industry, from small start-ups to well-established enterprises, with amounts ranging from several thousand to $2 million.

Robert L. Gross, Jr., has been working in the commercial financing industry since 1970 and currently is owner of Marketplace Resources, LLC. During his thirty years of financial and business experiences, he has assisted numerous and widely diverse companies in obtaining needed financing.

Mr. Gross is very skilled in "turn around situations" where a business is close to, or in, bankruptcy, and needs financing to save the company. He also has spent many years working with young companies that need guidance on how best to structure their enterprise for future growth potential.

Mr. Gross is a graduate of Grove City College, where he majored in Economics.

Heather Gross
Heather Gross joined the company in 1990. She serves as the company’s primary interface working with clients in assembling and submitting loan applications to financial resources across the country.

Thanks to Ms. Gross' professionalism and the packages she submits, financial analysts and loan officers rely heavily on her expertise and documentation. That means we get prompt results for our clients' projects.

Heather has in-depth experience and success in negotiations with buyers, sellers, and lenders. Many times she can resurrect a deal that appears to be "dead" by working closely with all involved parties and negotiating and receiving compromises that make the projects workable again.

Our Other Associates
BFN works closely with developers, business brokers, realtors, bankers, business development offices, equipment leasing companies, private investors, and factoring houses, etc. Those professionals are integral resources in obtaining funding for our clients' projects.

If you are a business development professional, lender, realtor, broker, or investor and would like to learn how to join the BFN team, just give us a call or send an e-mail message. We will be most happy to talk with you.
